As the oldest educational institution of the country, G. C.
University Lahore has taken a
number of initiatives in recent years to upgrade the educational
standards to meet the challenges of modern times. Gaining University
status is just a means to this end. In 2002, we took yet another
important step forward. G. C. University has launched graduate courses
in Management Studies. The MBA program of G. C. University is of two
years duration and is of international standard, offering diverse
specialization courses in IT, Marketing, Finance and Manufacturing
Technologies

Along with modern scientific knowledge, societies now realize the need
to develop skills in Management Sciences and related fields. Knowledge
of modern management techniques is indeed as important as tools in
delivering academic content, but students also need to develop skills
in operating and making most of these systems. Technology encourages
active learning, aiding students in doing research, assessing and using
resources to answer questions and solve problems. Among others,
Management Studies facilitates societies endeavor in finding workable
solutions to various problems. The University offers an ideal combination
of Management, Functional and Strategic courses for students.
Highly
qualified staff, new computer laboratories, a modern
library with business journals and old traditions of academic
excellence make the Management Studies Department of G. C.
University Lahore a unique centre of higher
education. Students are bound to benefit tremendously from this centre.
